Trend I'm Loving: Neon

I didn't want to bore you all by posting yet another Resort collection, (although it was tempting seeing that I loved Band of Outsiders perfectly preppy, boyish looks with a hint of femininity), so I thought I'd get semi-creative and showcase a re-occuring trend that I saw among some collections. And if you read the title above you'll know that trend is NEON.

Now, I've never been a fan of neon. In fact, I don't think I even own any neon clothes but for some reason my eyes are loving these vivid, bright, bold colors and I can't get enough.

Lanvin Resort 2012

I spent a good portion of my time viewing a multitude of resort collections, but nothing stood out more than these Lanvin dresses. As soon as I came across this collection I was in awe of how beautiful these dresses are. The metallic shine and the flowiness of them just did it for me. Let's just put it this way, Alber Elbaz knows how to design one glamorous dress.

Yves Saint Laurent Resort 2012

The poppy print dresses in this collection is what makes this one of my absolute favorite resort collections. Not only am I head over heels for this print but I'm also loving the nautical theme--gold buttons, ropes, anchors and stripes. As Stefano Pilati put it: "You know, why not dress like I’m going on a yacht..."
