Heavyweight Champion

For those of you who didn't enjoy the last song--maybe because it was too slow, etc.--here's a song that's completely different. Unlike the last song, this one is upbeat and has more of a dance feel. It's called "Heavyweight Champion of the World" by a band named Reverend and The Makers. This indie pop band hails from the UK. The song is off their first album titled "The State of Things."

Satellite

As you can tell by the name of my blog, this blog will be about music. Each week I will introduce you to a new band and post a YouTube video of one of my favorite songs of theirs. The purpose of this is to introduce you all to "non-mainstream" music; music that you wouldn't hear on the radio, "top 40," etc.
The first band I will be featuring is Guster. They are an American acoustic-pop band that formed in 1991. My favorite song of theirs is "Satellite" which is off their 2006 album "Ganging up on the Sun." Another mention-worthy song off this album is "The Captain. Hope you enjoy! :)
