Pop of Green

I promise you, I didn't intentionally try to make this outfit look Christmas-y. It just happened. Although, I was intentionally going for a festive look with my red and glittery silver nails. What can I say, I'm a I-love-everything-about-Christmas type of girl.

Pink + Leopard

Pink has recently become one of my go-to/favorite colors (especially light or pastel pinks like this one) and I don't know why. I haven't even had this sweater for a week and I find myself wanting to wear it a little to much not only because of the color but because it is SUPER soft and comfy. I'm definitely going to be getting more of these. Pairing sweaters with jeans is also a go-to look of mine. It's easy, incredibly comfy and looks put together.

Black Friday Weekend Shopping

Just wanted to share the few items I got for Black Friday (or actually Saturday). I didn't do any shopping on actual Black Friday as I was working. I work in retail so I was there to experience all the madness during my 9 hours shift, and I'm happy to say that I survived! And it wasn't all that bad.
The stores I went to were Target, Old Navy and Banana Republic. There were so many things I wanted but only got a couple of items mostly sweaters because let's face it, I LOVE sweaters. I wanted to get more but I had to restrain myself for my sake and my bank account.

What I Want Now: Anorak/Parka

I've been eyeing this Anorak from Old Navy for a few weeks now, and I'm 99.9% sure I'm going to make it mine. I think Anoraks or Parkas are a staple outerwear item for your closet. Although it may not be the most attractive piece of outwear (I genuinely do like it), it's a classic look and it does the job of keeping you warm on those chilly fall/winter days and nights. And on the plus side, they go great with EVERYTHING (skirts, dresses, pants, etc).

Another honorable mention and my favorite parka among these two is one by Tommy Hilfiger but I couldn't find it online. Here's a similar one although the one I liked is 10x better and in green.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the anorak/parka?

Chambray + Polka Dots (+ Breaking Dawn)

So, just as I'm getting back into the swing of blogging and posting consistently, my laptop charger BROKE! Now, seeing as I have an ancient laptop (from 2005), I can't just run to the store and buy a new one. So while I search online, order a new charger and wait for it to be shipped to me, I probably won't be posting as frequently BUT I will try to find ways to do so.

In other news, this is the outfit I wore to the midnight premiere of Breaking Dawn. Now, now, I'm not a'twihard' or even a big fan of the saga but I've watched all the movies so I thought "Why give up on the last one? I'll just watch it." And let me tell you, I was impressed! The beginning of the movie was rather cheesy but the last half towards the end made up for it (it was a nail biting experience), and the ending was sweet.

Polka Dots + Knit

It's finally beginning to feel like Fall in Southern California which means it's time to dig out our cardigans, knits and coats. I bought this thick knit cardigan at Forever 21 about two years ago and never really wore it, but I've been putting it to good use lately with this recent temperature drop. I paired it with my favorite polka dot top (I'm super into polka dots lately) and liked the way it turned out in contrast with the texture and colors of the cardigan.

Pastel Blue + Ankle Boots

If you read my blog, you'll know that I have a thing for colored denim. I just think they add a little extra something to an outfit. But what I love more than colored denim is ankle boots, particularly suede nude ankle boots. Why do I love them so much? Because you can wear them no matter the season (spring, summer, fall, winter) AND they go with EVERYTHING (pants, shorts, skirts, dresses)!

I've gone through pairs of these because once I purchase them I tend to wear them every single day until the heel wears down. I found this pair at Target and they were everything I wanted in an ankle boot, but didn't purchase them right away. So a few months later, I go back to find that my beloved booties are on CLEARANCE and, of course, I made my move and brought them home. And the rest is history.

All About Plaid

For some reason, I'm on a little bit of a plaid kick and lusting over everything plaid. I think that's because, to me, plaid print is the epitome of fall. It's warm, soft and the colors (red and green) are so fall and festive (Christmas is right around the corner). Below are some fall items that I've been pinning over.

Target Tailored Blazer (I've mentioned this twice so it must mean I love it).

GAP Patterned Canvas Loafers

GAP Fitted Boyfriend Flannel Ruffle Shirt

C. Wonder Mini Blackwatch Wool Easy Tote

And if you're into plaid trousers, these deserve an honorable mention. Are you fan of plaid?
